I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the conduct and accuracy of a report prepared by "Lighting Up Melbourne" Victoria. The owner Josh allegedly conducted an inspection on behalf of a real agent concerning a faulty water heater tray located above my apartment. This tray was clearly Broken and was causing water flow all over the balcony leading to substantial damage to my balcony ceiling below. Despite the visible evidence of the issue, Josh's report falsely claimed that the water heater tray was fully operational and not broken. Furthermore the report inaccurately stated that the tenant was unaware of any water issues and did not understand why l was complaining. I however had supplied several videos to the OC manager of the water overflowing in the Broken tray and video of the tenant standing in the water on the balcony as we were discussing the broken evaporative tray. This is supposedly a professional electrician who has submitted a report so riddled with inaccuracies it raises serious concerns about whether the inspection was done at all, or the level of negligence shown in this matter, Totally Unacceptable. I strongly suggest Josh of Lighting Up Melbourne to reflect on the seriousness of submitting inaccurate reports especially when they reflect on other peoples properties. "Professional Integrity" Respect for others and factual reporting are non negotiable in electrical work and Josh needs to be reported and called out for his actions.
Shame I didn't get to experience the work because the customer service through the booking process was so poor! After waiting a week to schedule the iniitial work (rental property organised through agent) they refused to attend with only my kids (15 and 12) home. Fair enough. But the earliest they could re-schedule was 1.5 weeks away. As soon as I said this was too far away sorry, some closer dates magically materialised. I said thanks but I need the work done sooner. It was then sarcastically mentioned that they didn't realise I was the owner of the property. This sense of entitlement was sickening. When I had it confirmed they did not have a monopoly on the work on my property I promptly organised for another company to do it. Tossers. Be better. UPDATE 10:44pm As a follow up to the review posted earlier this evening Josh reached out to me. Unable to chat on the phone we exchanged msgs where he: - accused me of making this about the child policy. I clearly did not. I actually wrote 'fair enough'. - tried to shift blame to the real estate agent when it was his scheduler who offered a time 1.5 weeks later before revising this to sooner AFTER I said the date was too far away. - accused me of not being in a good mood and having my ego take over. It was clear that agency work is not a priority for this company. To get nasty when a potential customer seeks an alternative vendor because they consider their work more urgent than you do is not only unnecessary but it is poor form. To then demonstrate willful ignorance and blame shifting when 'attempting' to address the matter is a step too far. Its been a LONG time since I have been on the receiving end of such a lack of empathy and poor service. Buyer beware.
We have been working with Lighting Up Melbourne for 7 years. Josh is a fantastic operator and his team of electricians are professional and reliable. We rely on the team to progress our own renovation projects with high quality and timing. They are great to work with and are our sparky of choice every time.
