I visited this mechanic for a pink slip inspection, and the experience was disappointing. They quoted nearly $1,400 in repairs, including claiming my rear shocks needed replacing—a red flag, as they’d been replaced just six months ago by my trusted mechanic. When I questioned the shocks, they started backtracking, suggesting it might be an issue with my old mechanic’s work or a manufacturing fault. They also issued a failed slip, ensuring I’d need to return to them within two weeks for repairs. I waited for my regular mechanic, who confirmed the shocks were in perfect condition and estimated repairs over $500 less than this mechanic’s quote. Other local mechanics also agreed that the initial quote seemed excessive. Given these inconsistencies and inflated pricing, I’d recommend getting a second opinion before authorising repairs here.

These guys are such good people! I got caught out with an electrical fault on Saturday and dropped in shortly before they were due to close. Even while obviously really busy, they took the time to come and look at my car and help me work through my options. Knowing I lived out of town, they helped me find a solution that would allow me to drive home and keep my car functioning until I could get in to see a local mechanic. They were so kind and helpful.
